Sarah Desrochers: Shepson Atmospheric Chemistry Group: Purdue University

Sarah Desrochers

Sarah

Sarah grew up in New Hampshire and completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusets, originally studying low temperature alcohol dehydration facilitated by transitional metal catalysis. Wanting a change in scenery, she moved to the midwest, and joined the Shepson group in 2015. In her free time, she enjoys social dancing both locally and in Indianapolis. She is studying biogenic volatile organic compounds like isoprene and monoterpenes, their influence on global concentrations of NOx and ozone, and their role in particle formation. She recently returned from spending six weeks in the University of Michigan Biological Station forest in Pellston, MI for the PROPHET campaign.
