Angela

Angela joined the Shepson group in November 2012.  She studies air-snow interactions, halogen and snowpack photochemistry and the polar atmosphere.  She is an expert on the CIMS instrument, and the groups’ ion chromatography system.  During her PhD Angela has spent a total of 18.5 weeks (the 0.5 was a really long few days) conducting fieldwork in Barrow Alaska.

Angela grew up in Truckee California ski racing, and skied NCAA her freshman year of college. She has a B.A. in Chemistry from Whitman College (in Walla Walla Washington).  She currently lives in Lafayette with her fiance and two cats.  In her “spare” time she is on the board of a community garden and volunteers at the local animal shelter.
