Research technician: we are seeking a new team member with molecular biology skills, at least 1 year of laboratory experience, and a knack for lab organization!  The position is roughly half managerial (purchasing, equipment maintenance, inventory) and half research support.  Unfortunately we cannot sponsor a US work authorization for this position.

 

Postdoctoral fellows: we are seeking a postdoc for a joint position operating a cryo-FIB-SEM for our facility and performing structural virology research in situ.  Applicants must have experience in cryo-EM, cryo-ET, or FIB-SEM.  Please send a cover letter/email and CV to metskas AT purdue.edu, as well as contact information for 3 references who can send letters of recommendation.  This position is ideal for applicants interested in long-term facility or staff scientist positions.

Undergraduate researchers: we welcome undergraduates in our lab from many majors, including Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Computer Science, and Physics. We offer both computational projects (no experience necessary, coding and non-coding opportunities available) and bench projects (experience + 1 year commitment required).
