Available Positions

Please contact metskas AT purdue.edu to apply, unless otherwise noted.

Research technician: we are seeking a new team member with molecular biology skills, at least 1 year of laboratory experience, and a knack for lab organization!  The position is roughly half managerial (purchasing, equipment maintenance, inventory) and half research support.  Unfortunately we cannot sponsor a US work authorization for this position.

Postdoctoral fellows: we are seeking a postdoc to lead a super-resolution cryo-fluorescence microscopy collaboration with the Huang group. For more information or to apply, please see https://engineering.purdue.edu/Engr/Research/GilbrethFellowships/ResearchProposals/2023-24/correlated-superresolution-cryofluorescence-microscopy-and-electron-microscopy.

For general postdoc applications, please send a cover letter/email and CV to metskas AT purdue.edu, as well as contact information for 3 references who can send letters of recommendation.  The cover letter should introduce your background and how it would complement the lab's research goals, and briefly describe what you would be interested in researching for your postdoc.

Grad students: the Metskas lab accepts graduate students through Biological Sciences, Chemistry and PULSe.  Please contact us directly to attend a lab meeting, learn more about our group, or arrange a rotation!

Undergraduate researchers and summer researchers: we always have projects available in tomography data processing and three-dimensional analysis for interested undergrads!  Some computational or quantitative skills required.
