My name is William (Bill) Shidler, and I recently joined Purdue University as an academic advisor. Over 35 years ago, I met my wife, Jean, while attending Purdue and from this relationship, we have two adult children who are also Purdue graduates. After spending 30 years in K-12 education as a teacher, director, and principal, I have gone back to the place that gave so much to me 30 years ago - Purdue University. My time at Purdue gave me an exciting and enriching career, introduced me to my best friend, and ushered in two more Purdue grads - Boiler Up!

When I am not advising, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to great music, and perhaps attending a festival or two. I enjoy reading a good book, laughing at a great movie, or appreciating the many blessings in my life.
