I am originally from southeastern Wisconsin, and have my B.A. in Chemistry from Lawrence University (Go Vikings!) in Appleton, WI. I received my Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from Purdue (Go Boilers!), foloowed by postdoctoral work through a joint program with Eli Lilly and the University of Minnesota on crystal polymorphism. My then-fiancée and I came back to West Lafayette to work  at the Purdue Research Park, where I worked at a contract research company specializing in drug crystallization. After taking several years off to raise my kids, I worked for several years in Purdue's Chemistry Department as an organic chemistry laboratory coordinator, then as an academic advisor for chemistry, biology, and pre-professional freshmen and sophomores. I am now the Upper Division advisor for Chemistry majors and am Director of the Chemistry Resource Room.

I live not too far from campus with my husband and two kids, and I enjoy cooking, reading a good book with a cup of tea, introducing my kids to old internet memes, and playing the bass in a rock band with a group of friends.

Please see the Chemistry Advising page for information on drop-ins and appointments. I suggest emailing me first.
