Hey y’all!

My name is Janine Myers, and I’m an Assistant Director and Academic Advisor in the College of Science for CS | DS | AI. At the heart of my work is people—I genuinely enjoy getting to know students and helping them grow. Learning energizes me, so I’m always interested in hearing what you’re working on, exploring, or considering. Let’s chat! I’m here to help you connect your interests to your passions and turn those into real, achievable goals.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English from The Ohio State University and my Master of Science in Education from Indiana University. I have over 10 years of experience in higher education, with a background in academic advising and sorority and fraternity life. Higher education can feel large and complex, so please know that you have a resource in me.

I grew up in a small town in Ohio and was a first-generation college student, which continues to shape how I approach my work and support others. Growing up, I was involved in 4-H, choir, marching band, and theatre—I have always valued being part of a team, being outdoors, and staying busy.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me throwing pottery on the wheel, teaching or practicing yoga, biking, or curled up with a good book. My YouTube history often includes videos about quantum physics and black holes, the newest Ziwe interview, guided meditations, or Arsenal highlights. I love spending time with my husband, our cat, and our families.
