Hello!

I joined the College of Science advising team as an advisor for lower division Biology and Chemistry in July 2021 before switching to Computational Sciences in January 2024. However, I have been working at Purdue since 2016 and was previously in International Admissions and Transfer Credit before making the switch to Advising.

I grew up in a small town in southeastern Indiana, close to Cincinnati, OH. I was a first generation student and am an alum of Purdue's Horizons program. During my undergraduate years at Purdue, I taught for Purdue's GER2I Super Saturday and Super Summer programs. I was also part of the College of Education's Undergraduate Research Training (URT) program where I worked with Dr. Helen Patrick on the Scientific Literacy Project.

As an educator, I have worked with students of all age levels- from Kindergarten to College! I started as a special needs and Title I paraprofessional at area elementary schools, moved into teaching collegiate level courses at Ivy Tech Community College as Adjunct Faculty, and taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English/Language Arts at an area K-8 school. I also recently taught BIOL 11500 here at Purdue!

I love to travel, and my sister and I usually take a trip every year. Our goal is to visit every state, Canadian province, and national park. So far, we have been to 32 states, 4 provinces, and 8 national parks!

Advice for Boilermakers:

Have new experiences. Step out of your comfort zone. Grow and really live.

"The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."
