SCIENCE WOMEN GO OVER THE TOP!

Science women of Purdue have stepped up again... In October 2005, the steering committee of the Science Women of Purdue effort set a stretch goal to raise $300,000 and name a lab in the beautiful new Hockmeyer Hall of Structural Biology. In June 2007, they met and surpassed the goal, raising $305,000!

The Science Women of Purdue Laboratory will be an inspiration to today’s students especially graduate and undergraduate women who will go on to make future science headlines. The laboratory will also be a wonderful legacy gift to future students and give voice to the role women have played in science discovery and learning at Purdue.

Thanks to everyone who contributed and made possible this success story!

Groundbreaking for the new building will take place at Purdue on October 19, 2007.
