Merit Scholarships for Beginners

Merit Scholarships in the College of Science range in amount from $500 to $14,000 per year. Some scholarships are awarded based on your choice of major and others to anyone in Science. All awards require the student be enrolled in the College of Science on a full-time basis. Since these awards are based on merit, financial need is not considered. However, if you receive other financial aid from Purdue, any of our merit scholarship awards that you might receive will be considered a part of your total financial aid package. Your total Purdue award may not exceed the cost of education.

Scholaship awards vary from one to four years. Multiple year awards are renewed based on the criteria set by each scholarship. Note: Students must be enrolled full-time and have maintained a semester grade point average of at least 3.0.

The College of Science at Purdue University continues to build its resources to offer scholarship opportunities for students who excel. Scholarships and awards are continually added to our pool of resources, the following list of merit scholarships identifies some of the awards that may be offered to beginning students in the College of Science .
