INSCITED - INdiana SCIence Teacher EDuction
INSCITED teachers work closely with K-6 Science Education Specialists on:
- Addressing Indiana Academic Science Standards and ISTEP Science Testing,
- Increasing teacher science knowledge,
- Implementing inquiry in the classroom,
- Making science meaningful and fun for all students.
Why participate in INSCITED?
- Time to work on science units and collaborate with other teachers,
- Learn to address multiple standards with one science lesson,
- Gain knowledge and have fun teaching science in innovative ways,
- Learn how to use new resources in your classroom.
What does involvement in the Science Partnership include?
- Participate in a summer workshop,
- The summer residential workshop in July at Purdue University
- Receive compensation for participation in the summer workshops,
- Stay at Purdue University with all meals and lodging included.
- Participate in four workshops during the school-year (two each semester),
- Work and communicate closely with K-6 Science Education Specialists on improving science instruction.
