This program, established in 2003, recognizes faculty members who receive a sponsored research grant of 1 million dollars (or more). Each award recipient receives a bronze acorn engraved with his or her name and each award group is recognized by having a tree planted on campus with a plaque recognizing the group’s accomplishments.
