Alumni NewsSean Brennan (B.S. 2004, general science) and Elizabeth Semple (B.S. 2004, Biological Sciences)were married on December 12, 2005. They live in Roselle, Illinois. Rita Jena Chatterjee (B.S. 1995, mathematics) and her husband Subrata welcomed their second child, Alex, on January 14, 2006. Salvatore Lepore (Ph.D. 1997, chemistry), Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida, has received the FAU Researcher of the Year Award for 2006. Professor Lepore's research focus is on the development of new chemical reactions and their application to the synthesis of therapeutic compounds, particularly for cancer and AIDS treatments. Ron Myers (Ph.D. 1977, chemistry) has recently retired from full-time corporate R&D after nearly 30 years in senior scientist positions, most recently with Cabot Microelectronics Corporation. He has just finished work on his 18th US patent. Currently, he is president and owner of Myers Consulting Services, a chemistry, materials science and nanotechnology business. In 2005 Dr. Myers received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from his undergraduate alma mater, Gettysburg College. He and his wife Domi reside in Strongsville, Ohio. Andy Zeigler (B.S. 2005, computer science) is a program
manager with Microsoft, Inc. in Redmond, Washington.
