Alumni NewsAdam Byers (B.S. 2003, biological sciences) is project manager with Integrated Project Management Company Inc. in Burr Ridge, Illinois. Paul P. Krishna (M.S. 1988, geology) is the Environmental & Regulatory Manager for ExxonMobil Development Company. Paul, his wife Linda and their 3 children will be relocating from California to Houston. Adam Myers (B.S. 2000, Ph.D 2005 chemistry/biochemistry) successfully defended his Ph.D. in organic chemistry in December 2005 and have taken a position with Quadraspec, Inc. as the senior manufacturing chemist. Adam is a member of the College of Science Alumni Board. Reid Leonard (Ph.D 1985, biological sciences) is senior director for external research and licensing at Merck & Co. Inc. in Boston. He reports that he visited Purdue recently and was very impressed with changes around campus, particularly the Discovery Park. He and his wife Debra (Ph.D. 1986) Hope to be back soon for a campus visit with their son Mat, who will graduate high school in 2007. Steven Ogunwumi (Ph.D 1997, chemistry) was selected by the American Ceramic Society for its prestigious Karl Schwartzenwalder Professional Achievement in Ceramic Engineering Award. Ogunwumi is a scientist with Corning Inc. Karla Smith (Ph.D 2006, biological sciences) is a post-doctoral
fellow at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Smithville,
TX.
