College of Science

How Will I Prepare for Day on Campus?

A.  Read through this web site.

B.  Complete the Student Information Form online.

C.  Take the Calculus Readiness Test (CRT).  This applies to all students admitted to the College of Science.  You may study for and take the Calculus Readiness Test online at www.math.purdue.edu/academic/crt3/login.php.  Follow the instructions.  The results of this test will determine your placement in mathematics and science classes.  Before attempting the CRT, you have unlimited access to the practice test.  If you score less than 13 in your 3 non-practice attempts at the CRT you will also need to take the Algebra Readiness Test (ART)

D.  Incoming Computer Science students must take the Computer Science Readiness Test.

E.  Review for the advanced credit exams you plan to take. Study guides for some exams are available online or from the Science Counseling Office.  Some of these exams may be taken during your Day on Campus visit.  Prior registration for the exams is not needed.

F.  Use the “Course Selection Guidelines” on this site to make a preliminary selection of courses for the fall semester. Consider taking an elective course, such as band, ROTC, or reading comprehension.

G.  Complete the medical history form you will receive from Purdue Student Health Center (PUSH) and return it to PUSH.  If this proof of immunizations is not returned, your course registration will be canceled.
