General |
Association of Multicultural Science Students: AMSS strives to increase African American, Hispanic American and Native American participation in the sciences. This group familiarizes students with conditions confronting scientists and health professionals. Advisor: Zenephia Evans, 494-1760. Purdue Science Student Council (PSSC): PSSC promotes a closer relationship among the students and faculty of the School of Science. We also provide academically oriented services to students. Science Ambassadors: Science Ambassadors are a select group of students who represent the School of Science to prospective and current students and faculty, as well as to alumni. Women
in Science Programs (WISP): WISP is composed of four components:
Graduate Mentoring Program, Residential Program, Tutoring Program,
and Undergraduate Mentoring Program. These four components work
together to form a continuous environment that fosters success for
students in the School of Science at Purdue University from freshman
year through Ph.D. |

Alpha Epsilon Delta: Alpha Epsilon Delta is a premedical honor society that encourages excellence in premedical scholarship. Advisor: Michael Forman, 494-8114. Beta Beta Beta Biological Society: Beta Beta Beta is a national honor society to promote scholarship in the biological sciences, further the dissemination of biological knowledge, and encourage research. Advisor: Dennis Minchella, 494-8188. Biology Club: The Biology Club gives supplementary information on opportunities in education and career options. Provides interaction between students and faculty. Advisor: Rex Fodrea, 494-4751. Caduceus Club: Caduceus Club features guest lecturers from the medical field. This club is open to all students interested in pursuing a health career. Advisors: David Bridges and Bob Walkup. Pre-Vet
Club: The
Pre-Vet Club provides information on career options in veterinary
medicine and parallel careers. We encourage fellowship among
students and School of Veterinary Medicine faculty. |
Chemistry |
Alpha Chi Sigma (Beta Nu Chapter): Alpha Chi Sigma is a professional chemistry fraternity for men and women. We currently have members from majors such as chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology, physics, electrical engineering, and even some liberal arts; but all have an interest to some degree in chemistry. Look for our callout signs posted in various buildings around campus and look in your Chemistry courses during the first three weeks of each semester. Advisor: Paul Smith, 494-5307. American Chemical Society (ACS) Iota Sigma Pi: Iota Sigma Pi is a national honorary society for women in chemistry that is open to juniors, seniors, and graduate students in Chemistry and related fields. Association for Computing Machinery (ACM): ACM is an organization for the computing community, dedicated to the development of information processing as a discipline. Computer Science Women's Network (CSWN): CSWN is an organization consisting of women in Computer Science at Purdue University. We have group activities so we can get to know one another. Pi Epsilon is an international honor society that promotes high scholarship
and recognizes outstanding talent in computer science. Lifetime

Purdue Geoscience Society (PGS): PGS is a club for all students of any major who are interested in geology or geology related topics. University Meteorological Association (PUMA): PUMA
is the student chapter of the AMS (American Meteorological Society)

Society of Physics Students (SPS): SPS is a student organization for students with an interest in physics. Women
in Physics (WIP): Women
in Physics is a university organization that brings the women studying
and working in the physics department together to get to know one
