Work Background
As an undergraduate at Illinois , I worked in an immunology lab on campus, as well as a microbiology lab at the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR) in Peoria , Illinois. After coming to Purdue as a graduate student, I worked for several years as a Teaching Assistant for BIOL 203/204. I student taught at Harrison High School here in West Lafayette in the Spring of 1997 before deciding that I enjoyed working at Purdue and returned as a Lecturer for BIOL 203/204 in the Fall of 1997. I joined the Science counseling staff in July 2000.
Hobbies/Interests
Traveling, reading, hiking, gardening, and playing with
our dog.
Goal
To assist in any way I can to make your college experience both rewarding and successful.
Advice for students
Take your classes seriously, but don't forget to relax and
enjoy your time at Purdue. Your time here will pass quicker than you will
imagine, and you don't want to look back later and regret the things you
didn't do. Take advantage of the many opportunities a Big Ten university
like Purdue has to offer.
