Registration Information for Spring 2007
Hello everyone! Now that the semester is well underway, it is time to start planning for your Spring semester classes. Below you will find dates and important information on how to register for next Spring. I am starting early to try to accommodate everyone, but if you choose to register early, please remember that Spring schedules will not be available yet. This means we may need to make a tentative schedule until Spring schedules become available. If you have made other plans for this Spring, please let me know (if you have already contacted me with this information, it's okay to remind me).
My parents are still in the hospital so I will be in and out of the office periodically during the registration period. Because of this, I am doing several things to attempt to have as many students registered by October 30 (first Spring scheduling run) as possible. I will be making 30 minute appointments on Mondays – Thursdays between 8:30 and 5:00. As an attempt to make your registration appointment run more smoothly, I will be sending you an appointment reminder prior to your appointment. This reminder will also contain a brief questionnaire that I would like returned to me by 5 pm the day before you appointment ! This reminder questionnaire is not an email registration. You will still need to meet with me to go over your schedule.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me or come in to one of my walk-in times. I will continue to have daily scheduled walk-in times, and will also be available late in the afternoon for walk-ins if you email me. It may take me a bit longer than usual, but I will return your email as soon as possible.
I hope everyone is having a great semester! I will see you soon!

2. You may call (49)4-1771 and ask the person who answers for my first available appointment or walk into MA 231 to make an appointment. Please do not respond to this email for an appointment . If you cannot keep your appointment, please call to cancel. My schedule will be very full and it will be difficult to reschedule, so please try to keep your appointment. Appointments are for 30 minutes , so allow plenty of time to get to your next class. Please check your schedules before making an appointment to avoid conflicts with classes. If you have registered with me before, you will remember that 30 minutes is shorter than normal for my appointments, so please help me keep to my schedule by returning the email questionnaire prior to your appointment.
Classes fill quickly so make your appointment soon. If you will need ENGL 106 or BIOL 111 in the Spring, space will be tight. Please contact me by email soon to let me know you will need either of these classes!! I can pre-register you for any class, just let me know prior to October 9!
====================
3. A progress report (or bingo sheet) shows all your completed coursework and an estimate of the courses left to fulfill your major. To view your progress report on the web, login to SSINFO and click “Progress Report” under the Academic area. Please look over your progress report before your registration appointment . Let me know if there are any errors.
====================
4. Time block requests- I must have written documentation (from an employer) when you register in order to enter a time block.
====================
5. Undecided about your major- Consider making an appointment for Career Counseling through our office. We have three career counselors on staff to help you. Call (49)4-1771 or come in to MA 231 to make an appointment.
====================
6. Walk-Ins- I will continue to have walk-in times. Please be aware that my walk-in times are not for registration , but for quick questions and concerns. These times are available at http://www.science.purdue.edu/walkins/

7. You may receive an email in the next few weeks if your immunizations are not up to date with the Health Center . If your immunizations are not complete, it will not delay your registration, but you may risk your registration being cancelled . If you do receive an email that your immunizations are not complete, you will need to contact the Medical Records office at PUSH, (49)4-1837. You can also fax your immunization records directly to the Medical Records office, (765) 494-1836. Please do not send this information to me. I can still register you prior to you sending this information, just be sure to send it as soon as possible.
Encumbered? We can still meet to schedule your classes, so please make an appointment soon.
