Work Background
I worked for my father's construction company while attending college. Though, I love the trade, I realized I did not want to do it for the rest of my life. After graduation I worked as a Department Manager for Galyan's sporting goods in Atlanta , GA. for a year and a half. I moved back to Lafayette to be close to family and support my wife who is working toward her masters. I worked in the Registrars office for two year before starting here in the College of Science in May 2006. I really enjoy having the opportunity to work closely with students.
Hobbies/Interests
Growing up at the beach on the East coast instilled a great passion for most water sports, including surfing and scuba diving. I also enjoy skate boarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, intramural football, basketball and unrelated to sports, I enjoy photography. I am currently training for an adventure race or a triathlon, so we shall see how that goes.
Goals
Help students achieve their academic goals here at Purdue. Explore all that Purdue has to offer inside and outside of the classroom especially activities that I wish I would have been involved in such as internships and study aboard programs. Be a helpful and friendly resource for any student who needs my help.
Advice for students
Attend class and do your homework. Talk to your professors. Working hard at school makes playing hard all that more available, enjoyable and rewarding. Meet new friends outside your “comfort zone”. Your time here will move fast so take advantage of the time in school, many graduates look back on their college years as one of the most enjoyable times of their lives.
