Work Background
Before joining the College of Science Counseling staff in 2003, Cara spent six years doing Academic Advising in the School of Technology at Purdue University. Prior to that, Cara worked in the Office of Admissions in the Credit Evaluation office. She is very happy to be back in the College of Science, where she began her academic career. Cara is also happy to be the advisor for the Mathematics Education Club.
Hobbies/Interests
Cara spends most of her time with her family. She has a husband, Jeff, and a beautiful daughter, Zoe, who is just turning 1. Watching Zoe grow up and learn to walk is a hobby all in its own. Cara also likes to read, although finding books that Zoe hasn't tried to eat is difficult.
Goals
Cara would like to help all of her students achieve their goals. She would like to gather all the resources necessary to help her students succeed at Purdue and beyond.
Advice for students
If you attend class and do your homework, you are half way there. Reading the book and doing homework before class will almost always guarantee success. If you ever have any questions, ASK. No one can help you if they don't know that you need the help. Also, take time out to enjoy yourself once in while.
