College of Science

Travel Grants

The funding for Travel Grants is provided by a variety of sources. The Women in Science Program is committed to provide one $500 grant each semester to any student in the College of Science.  We also administer Travel Grants for other departments and individuals when requested.  Some of these awards have restrictions on the recipients.  For instance, in recent years, the Department of Chemistry has gotten a grant from B.P. America Foundation to provide travel money for women in Chemistry and we have administered this grant for them.  Also, the Computer Science Women’s Network has asked us to administer a grant for a woman in CS.  There have also been individual professors who have had money in their NSF grants for Travel for female students in their discipline, which we have administered.

The Fall Travel Grants are due October 31 , 2008. Please click the following link for the application.
