Unearthing a Mystery, a Paleontology Dig

The Paleontology Dig is an inquiry-based activity in which participants work together to unearth and assemble a skeleton. The Dig is a great learning opportunity for students and teachers. This activity addresses the skeletal system, communication, and teamwork. Purdue Science K-12 Outreach Coordinators facilitate the activity and offer guidance as the participants work together to determine the correct placement of each bone. Participants will also learn about the paleontology, archaeology, adaptations, and other exciting facts about the natural world.
