Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When should I make a final copy of / print my poster?

A: We suggest that you plan to print your poster a week before the event. If you have difficulties that leaves time to problem solve.

Q: I have classes all day, can I still participate?

A: You do not have to be present to participate, but you must be present long enough to be judged to be considered for any of the awards. However, some colleges require you to participate. Additionally,  in the event that we have too many posters for the space, we will give preference to posters that will have students present. Students who are not at their poster when they signed up, run the risk of not being judged.

Q: Where can I get my poster printed?

A: First, please consult your research advisor, some colleges/schools have a plan in place. Secondly, you can pay for commercial printing but this can be expensive. Keep in mind that you are not required to print a large poster - you can use smaller sheets and piece them together on the display board provided.

Q: What should my abstract look like?

Q: What kinds of research and design projects were featured last year?

A: Abstracts 2012

Q: Where can I get advice about putting together a good poster?
